KS: Lost Memories

So, this has a bit of a spoiler for the anime Kaleido Star.
The girl on the right is Sophie, Leon's deceased sister. Sora (on the left) seems to be similar to Sophie, so I thought, if she was still alive, they'd be great friends. It's kind of a bittersweet drawing.

I was testing out a dress design on Sophie. It's double layered with a transparent, longer top skirt. I thought, since Sophie didn't get the chance to really wear anything nice in the show, that I'd give her a stylish look that still looked delicate. To me, she came off as a delicate girl, but with inner strength and resolve. She had a dream for the stage that she was sadly unable to fulfill because of the accident. Plus, she's French, the place of fashion. : D

I kept Sora's simple. Outside of her performing outfits, she really doesn't dress up most of the time.

This was my first parasol drawing. The wooden structure was a bit difficult--mostly the tilted angle was the challenge for me--but it was fun coloring! Can anyone guess what design the umbrella is?
